ScreenHer™ includes everyone who identifies as a woman and non-binary people.
Less than 16% of the films released in the UK in 2025 were directed by women, the lowest it has been for nine years. Of the 100 top-grossing films in the USA of 2025, only 8% were directed by women, a seven year low.
We, as audiences, want more stories made by women, so SCREENHER+ seeks to change this.
Our curated streaming platform will feature feature & short films, documentaries, stand-up comedians & more. Plus, as a boutique distributor we also release a select number of films into cinemas.
Our editorial test is simple: at least one key creative role – director, writer, editor or creative producer – must be held by a woman. And the work must show it. Does this story feel meaningfully different because a woman was central to the making of it? If yes, it has a home with us at SCREENHER®.
